Sweets for the sweet

Hello my sweet followers! Happy April Fools Day! I'm not gonna play a prank on you but instead I'm gonna show you a fun mani. We finally have sun today after a few days of rain so what better way to celebrate it than with some pastels. I did this mani to try out a new sponging technique but that didn't go so well. Instead I resorted to my old technique (using sponge tip applicators) and it turned out like candy, hence the name of this post.

I will also submit this as my entry this week in Adventures In Stamping because the theme is a non-stamping mani since it's April Fool's. I think this is so perfect for spring and Easter and so easy to do!

I started with 2 coats of Farmec 50 (my go to white). This is not by far opaque in two coats but since I was going to cover it it was ok. Then I started sponging with a sponge tip applicator. The lilac color is China Glaze Light As Air, the peach is Golden Rose Care+Strong 109 and the blue is China Glaze Kinetic Candy. I forgot to take a picture of the bottles but you can clearly see the colors on the nail. I then added a coat of top coat and the colors merged a little better. Sadly the top coat I used didn't level everything out so it was really bumpy. I decided to use INM Northern Lights and that made it look so shiny and perfect. Here's a shot in direct light to show the holo effect of the glitter.

I loved this so much that I've been wearing it for 4 days now. I will probably remove it after I finish writing this post, but it still looks flawless. I even filed the corners of my nails last night with it on and it did not budge. I think the main reason is the Northern Lights top coat. It really makes it rock solid.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did andI hope you all have a happy and warm Sunday!

    1. Yes it is! It's just as OTD with holo glitter in it. I love it! I was thinking to do another mani and call it Easter eggs but I'm not sure I'll have time. I'm glad you like it!
