Rimmel 60 Seconds review and swatches part 2

Hello everybody! This is the second post in my Rimmel 60 Seconds series. To read the review of the polishes and see the first 4 swatches click here for part 1.

I still have 5 more swatches for you after the jump.

Rimmel 825 Sky High (no top coat)
Sky High was the first shade I tried from this collection. It's a beautiful turquoise creme, opaque in 2 coats. It's a little more green in reality than it comes out in pictures. This one stains and I was lucky enough to be warned by someone before I put it on, so I doubled the base coat. You can check out the whole post about it here.

Rimmel 805 Grey Matter (no top coat)
Grey Matter was a big disappointment for me. It was one of the colors I knew I wanted from the collection. I love grey polish and this is a cement grey creme. I find this color elegant and classy. But unfortunately, the formula is terrible. It was thick and impossible to work with. This is 2 coats. It was very very streaky and it didn't level out at all. You can see the streaks in the photo. Maybe top coat could partially fix this and I sure hope it will. This also had the worst brush from the bunch.

Rimmel 318 Stand To Attention (no top coat)
Stand To Attention is the other true one coater of the ones I have. It's a cool toned red that looks absolutely great with my skin tone. It dries to a shiny finish and it's just amazing. The only problem is the thicker formula, but a few drops of thinner can fix that. You can see the nail art I did using it as a base here.

Rimmel 850 Aye, Aye, Sailor (no top coat)
Aye, Aye, Sailor is a delicious and vampy dark navy. It almost looks black depending on the light. I just love this type of colors, mainly because they are the complete opposite of my pale skin. This is opaque in 2 coats. Again, a thicker formula that can lead to some bubbling if you aren't very careful. It dries to an amazing shine. I can't wait to wear this in the fall and especially in the winter!

Rimmel 450 Sunny Days (with top coat)
I'm trying to close on a more summery note so here's a yellow for you. Sunny Days is a vibrant yellow with a golden iridescent shimmer that is very evident on the nail. The name is totally appropriate. The formula is surprisingly creamy for a yellow and 3 coats are needed to achieve full opacity. There were still some streaks visible but top coat took care of those. I would say that this one impressed me in a good way.

All in all, I'm happy to have purchased most of these polishes. I would sure like it if the company wouldn't put false claims on the packaging (like one coat or 1 second application) and would just stick to something plausible. They are certainly not worth the 7 euros they cost in some European countries, but I got them on sale for around 1.3 euros (the full price is a little over 2 euros here). They are good for building a collection with a lot of fun shades and they are also great for nail art. I did a manicure using most of them, which I will show you soon. My favorites are Limealicious and Sunny Days, with Stand To Attention and Aye, Aye, Sailor following closely. My only disappointment was Grey Matter and I sure hope it's because I got a bad batch.

I hope you enjoyed these posts and if you have any questions please post them in the comments section!
