Illamasqua Load

Hello lovelies! Excited about the weekend? Now that Valentine's Day is over we will be resuming our usual schedule. Everyone is posting spring polishes already so I won't be sorry for showing you a pastel today. This is the second polish I got from the Illamasqua sale (the other one is Caress) and it was a long time lemming of mine. It's the main reason for me wanting to order something from this sale.

I didn't like the way this photographed in my light box because it looked too matte, so all the pictures I'm showing you are in direct light. I hope you'll excuse the glare. I will ignore the name of this and just tell you that it's a very pale yellow creme. I think this can look good on different skin tones because it doesn't have that much yellow in it. It's sort of neutral toned, if that makes sense.

I won't lie and just tell you that the formula on this is not that great. I guess that is normal though for such a color. It's sheer and applies streaky, so 3 coats are needed to reach opacity. The 3rd coat levels it out but not entirely. A top coat like Seche Vite will definitely take care of all the unevenness and will make it look gorgeous.

I tried to do a little gradient with this and Caress but I don't really like how it came out. I still haven't found the perfect sponge for doing gradients. They are either too dense or too sparse and I can't mix the colors properly. I will show you anyway because I still like how these two colors look together.

I'm so happy that I got these 2 polishes in the sale! They are both amazing and I can see myself using these a lot in the future. Next on the list are A-england and China Glaze swatches so stay tuned because the next weeks are gonna be full of beauties!
