Diamond Pink

Hello my lovelies! It's time for another post from the untried polish challenge I started last week. Today we had to use two untried polishes for our manicure and I decided to go pink, because it's also Wednesday.

The polish I used as a base is OPI Pink Flamenco, a bright pink creme that I got a few weeks ago on sale. I really needed a pink like this one in my collection and OPI seemed the perfect way to go, since the formula is usually great. This one went on like a dream and was opaque in 2 coats. It doesn't dry very shiny, so I would say it needs top coat to look great. I've tried my best to capture the color but it was impossible. I really don't know how people manage to photograph pinks. The photo below was the best I could do.

The second untried polish I used for this mani is Barry M Diamond Glitter. It's made out of silver holographic  glitter in a clear base. There are smaller and larger glitter pieces in there, so the effect is very delicate and pretty. Since I'm a big fan of glitter tips, I tried to do a bit of a gradient with the glitter, starting from the half of the nail.

I got a lot of compliments for this manicure. This glitter is so simple, yet pretty unique. Below you can see a direct light picture where the holo effect is visible at its fullest.

I hope you enjoyed this manicure! The challenge was created by Just Add Polish.
