Avon Sprightly Mint

Hello lovelies! I'm sorry I haven't been posting much this week. I'm very busy and stressed out because of school stuff right now. When I do have a bit of time I'm out of inspiration and find it so hard to start typing up a post. I will probably keep it at about 3 posts per week for the next few weeks, hope you will understand. The polish I'm showing you today is a new Avon shade and it's also my first ever polish from the Speed Dry line.

Avon Sprightly Mint indoors, artificial light

Sprightly Mint is a very pale pastel mint creme. It's actually the lightest minty shade I have in my collection (and I do have a lot of them). I would say that this is for mint what Illamasqua Load is for yellow. It's the perfect shade to use as a base for nail art and it's a must have if you are a fan of pastels.

The formula of this polish was pretty good, considering it's such a light shade. The opacity is great, but there is some streakiness after the second coat. I only did 2 and used Seche Vite to make it level out nicely. It would probably need a 3rd coat otherwise. I've heard that the Avon Speed Dry polishes wear badly but I didn't have issues with this one. I wore it for about 3 days and it was fine.

I've mentioned that this shade is perfect as a base for nail art but the truth is that I was totally uninspired and had no idea what to do over it. I've been obsessed with tape and stud manicures lately, so I really wanted to do something else but nothing came to mind. I ended up with a very simple saran wrap application of Catrice The GlamoureX Factor, the gold polish I've showed you earlier this week. It was not very original but I ended up enjoying it a lot.

Love the delicate look of these two colors together! I think you've already noticed that I love the Catrice polish and I'm sure I will be using the Avon one a lot too. It's perfect for spring and summer!
