Monday Blues: Zoya Song

Hello lovelies! It's Monday and it's supposed to be rainy today, so I'd rather stay in bed. But we all know that's impossible. At least I have a pretty blue to show you! The one from today didn't match my expectations, but I still like it nonetheless.

This polish has been a long time lemming of mine, ever since it came out last winter. I was very happy to be able to finally get my hands on it last month. My expectations were high, both for the formula and the beauty of this polish. The shade and the shimmer are just as beautiful as I expected. Most of my pictures are in the sun because that's how you can see the sparkle in this polish. I was still unable to capture the awesomeness of this shade, so you'll have to use your imagination too. It's actually sparklier in real life. Because of the darker shade, it's subtle enough to be worn on an elegant occasion, which I think is great.

What I did not like about this polish was the formula. It's pigmented enough to become opaque in 2 coats, but I was expecting more of a buttery formula. It was on the thicker side, so application was tricky. It also stained my cuticles upon removal. Luckily, I always wear a base coat so my nails didn't get stained.
