Revlon Radiant

Hello my lovelies! It's Wednesday so as usual I am showing you an untried. For today's challenge we had to use our oldest untried and for me it's a blue glitter from Revlon. The reason this remained in my untrieds for so long is a mistery. I definitely needed to try this blue glitter a long time ago.

Revlon Radiant indoors, artificial light

Radiant is made out of tiny blue glitter with some silver and green hex glitter, all in a clear base. The glitter is quite sparse and it's hard to make it opaque by itself. I tried to do that with 3 heavy coats but there was some shrinkage at the tips which left them looking quite bad. I definitely needed to move the glitter around with the brush to cover the bald spots. It was also pretty hard to photograph because my camera freaked out from so much glitter and didn't want to focus properly.

As you may or may not know, Radiant is close to OPI's Gone Gonzo!, the only difference is that the Revlon has some green pieces that the OPI doesn't have. The OPI however is easier to get opaque by itself. I would use a base color for Radiant to make things easier next time. This polish reminds me of the ocean, so I stamped some seashells from plate CH38 on top using China Glaze Liquid Leather. I haven't stamped over glitter in a long time. It's definitely subtle against the sparkly glitter but I think it brings a nice touch to the manicure.
