Hello lovelies! Today's post is a very special one because it's post number 500 on my blog! Isn't that exciting? I must confess that I have no idea how I got to this huge number. I guess if you love doing something time flies and you end up almost 2 years later with no idea how you got there. I would like to thank you all for following me and for stopping by my little blog every once in a while. It means a lot to me that you support my passion! I thought about doing something special for today's post, but I decided to do what I love most and what I initially started this blog for: swatching and reviewing polish. The one from today is a beauty and it has rapidly become popular around here because it seems to be a dupe for Zoya Storm. Here's what I'm talking about.

You all know that I love Flormar for their great basic cremes and their Miracle Colors line. Lately they have been coming out with a lot of new collections and a lot of them have not been that interesting. But the new Glitter collection is amazing. It has all kinds of layering glitters (there's some square glitter, bar glitter and some stars in these polishes), but the star of the collection must be the gorgeous GL10, a black jelly packed with tiny holographic glitter. It's the first one I picked up because I really wanted to try it out and show it to you as well.

I was actually impressed by the holo effect in this polish. It sparkles like crazy when light hits it and you really don't have to look for the sun to see the multiple colors in the glitter. But it's not very easy to photograph. I usually photograph my holos in the sun and I have no trouble, but this one just doesn't want to come out properly in photos. I can assure you that there are a lot more colors in those sparkles. Here's a slightly unfocused picture to demonstrate.

As far as formula goes, this polish is very thick and pretty hard to apply because it dries very fast. It actually dries while you apply it. So I recommend working fast and not going over the same spot multiple times because you will end up with bald spots. 2 coats are all it takes to make it opaque. It also dries to a slightly matte finish. I used a coat of Seche Vite to make it glossy because it looked flat otherwise.

So is this a dupe for Zoya Storm? I don't own the Zoya so I can't really know, but this one seems a tad less black compared to Storm. That could be wrong because I've only seen Storm in pictures. I'm also sure the Zoya applies better. But if you are looking for something similar and you have access to Flormar polishes, GL10 is a perfect cure for your lemming for a fraction of the price!
