Shimmer Polish Elsa

Hello my lovelies! It's Friday! I can't wait for the weekend cause I'm supposed to get a new phone tomorrow and I can't wait to play with it. Today I have a very fun glitter for you and I created two different looks to show you how versatile it can be. It's one of those glitters that can look both elegant and fun depending on the way you layer it. The name immediately made me think of the lovely Elsa over at Like a candy shop. I really hope she likes this polish!

First off, I layered this beauty over a dark purple, namely a-england Elaine. According to the Shimmer website, Elsa* is made out of turquoise, red and gold glitter. I've seen a lot of red in mine and that made me think of burgundy as a good base for this. But I ended up using the purple instead because I love the formula. I used 2 coats of Elsa and the glitter density was good, making it almost opaque over the purple. One coat of top coat was enough to make it smooth.

I really loved this manicure. Really elegant and perfect for fall. But Elsa can be a summer polish as well if you know how to use it! For my second look I used a base of p2 Funky Babe and did a glitter gradient or glitter tips with Elsa. This way you can really see all the colors in the glitter.

I'm absolutely in love with how this looks! Even though the coral photographed a little too bright, I think the contrast with the glitter looks stunning. This looked washed out in the sun, but here's a picture in the shade.

The Shimmer polishes never cease to amaze me. They are so versatile and you can create so many looks with them. You can get Shimmer Polish from their website or their Etsy store. They also do custom polishes and ship internationally!

  2. I saw this one on their Facebook page and I immediately fell in love! (I also felt quite enthusiastic about seeing my name printed on a bottle of nail polish, I must admit XD) Absolutely beautiful glitter, and I love it on top of Elaine :) Thanks for thinking of me :D
