Monday Blues: Golden Rose Rich Color 15 and a Halloween manicure

Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all full of energy to start a new week. And even if you're not, with the winter time change we are technically waking up an hour later, so that's always a plus. The blue I'm showing you today comes from a newer Golden Rose collection named Rich Color. These have been around for months but it's the first time I actually got my hands on some. As usual with Golden Rose polishes they don't have a name, just numbers, which is sort of annoying. But let's take a look at this beauty.

So what we have here is a blue-grey shade that is perfect for the cold season. It's very dusty, but it's still visibly blue. When I saw this polish I immediately thought of  Sally Hansen Gray by Gray. The Golden Rose shade is actually lighter and more blue, but I guess they're cousins nonetheless. I tried to photograph this polish under my normal artificial light, but it photographed way too bright. So I took some natural light pictures to show it better.

The polish is a little sheer, but it can still be opaque in 2 coats depending on how thick you do yours. I really like the formula and the drying time is very impressing. What I don't like is the brush. They advertise the "one step maxi brush" on the bottle, but in my opinion it's too thick and stiff. Even if I hate wide brushes, I can still work with the OPI brush. This one however is very hard to work with. This color seemed very appropriate for some Halloween nail art so I added this on top.

I used both stamping and acrylics to make this manicure. The house and the pumpkin are from plate BM-305, along with some of the bats. The rest was freehanded by me using acrylic paint. For the moon I used some Illamasqua Load, because it seemed like the perfect color for a full moon. I really liked how this came out, although I think I prefer the artificial light pictures, even if they aren't as color accurate.

This will probably be my only Halloween manicure this year because I really don't have the time or inspiration to do more. I usually get very inspired by this holiday so I don't know what happened to me this year. Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this post and make sure you check out the Monday Blues of this month below!

Have a great week!
