Monday Blues: Revlon Surf

Hello my lovelies! I can't believe it's Monday again. It's been a busy week for me, hence the lack of posts in the last days. But I'm happy to be able to show you another beautiful blue today, one that is pretty special to me. This polish was a gift from a lovely lady I met via Instagram. She lives in my city and her name is Kinga (@kinganak on Instagram). I met her and Andrea (@funandi) a couple of weeks ago and it was a blast. Of course none of us showed up empty handed, so I got spoiled with beautiful gifts. Kinga knows I'm obsessed with blue so she made sure to include a few blue polishes for me. Long story short, Revlon Surf is one of them. Thank you, Kinga!

I haven't seen this polish on nail blogs and such, so I did a little research and found out it was part of last year's summer collection. It seems it was limited edition because it has no number on the bottle, just the name, while my other Revlons all have numbers and names on the cap. Surf is a very beautiful slate blue creme that is right up my alley because I love colors like this. It's more blue than Sally Hansen Gray by Gray and darker than Golden Rose Rich Color 15. I think this is the closest I have to MAC Blue India, an old lemming of mine that I never got to have because it was limited edition before I was into nail polish.

The formula of this polish was great and I didn't have any issues with application. 2 coats were all it needed, even though one coat is pretty opaque too. I really wanted to do some nail art on top of this but I didn't have the time. I think it's still very beautiful by itself and I hope you don't mind that I'm showing you a polish that is probably impossible to get a hold of (besides eBay probably).

I love colors like this! They are so elegant and chic, especially on shorter nails. I'd like to thank Kinga again for giving it to me and remind you that you can see more lovely blues if you click on the links below.

Have a great week!

  6. You are right! Thank you! I never would have thought of meeting such great people in my own town. I met so many amazing girls on the internet but they are so far away. It's great to find some so close!

  9. Oh well, I have a whole process with blogging. It usually takes me one or two weeks before a mani makes it to the blog. I wore two of the KBShimmers already and I'm saving I Got a Crush on Blue for my birthday mani, which is this Sunday. I will be an endocrinologist. Just chose my specialty yesterday :)
