Getting Ready for Christmas: The Christmas Red

Hello my lovelies and happy Sunday! I feel like this week has been a great one for my blog because I managed to post every single day. So what better way to end the week than another entry from the Getting Ready for Christmas challenge. It's time for me to show you my classic shade of red for the holidays and I've chosen one that everybody knows and loves. I hope you will still enjoy these photos even if I'm sure you've seen this polish a lot.

I can't believe it took me so long to get this polish! It's unbelievably amazing. Despite the fact that I'm not a fan of red polish, this one makes me stare at my nails continuously. There's so much microglitter in this red jelly that my nails literally glow. The glitter photographed a bit more orange than it is in real life but what I do love about this polish is that it's a lot more cool toned than other shades. It's also a bit darker, which makes it look a lot better on my skin tone. I first thought it would be similar to China Glaze Ring in the Red, but that one is a lot more orange. You can see the difference in the next photo. Ring in the Red is on my thumb (over one coat of Rimmel Stand to Attention).

I didn't want to do too much nail art over this because it's too beautiful to cover up. I did however add a little Christmas tree charm* to make it extra christmassy. These come from the Born Pretty Store and they can be found here

I found these a little bit large, so I used one on the middle finger instead of the ring finger because the nail is bigger. You won't be able to order these and get them in time for Christmas. However, there are a lot of awesome things on the Born Pretty Store. If you do decide to get something don't forget to use code MFL91 to get an extra 10% off at checkout.

I hope you've enjoyed this post. To see the other entries from this challenge follow Elsa's Facebook page where you can find an album with all the links and pictures!
