Hello my lovelies! I think everyone is excited that it's Friday today. It's time for day 4 of the Getting Ready for Christmas challenge, which means red and gold. You know that I'm not a big fan of red polish and I don't wear it often, so this challenge will be a record for me. For this theme I went for a darker red, a Christmas polish from a couple of years ago. I paired it with some glitter and some stamping and I love the result.
I started with a base of China Glaze Velvet Bow, a dark red that looks a bit too brown on my skin tone. I still like to wear it every year around the holidays because I love all my holiday polishes. I paired it with a gold glitter from last year's Mirrorball collection from Models Own, called Disco Inferno.
There's a bit of green glitter in there too but it's mainly gold shards and tiny glitter, so I think it's ok for this theme. On my middle finger I stamped a bell from plate BM-302 with Golden Rose Nail Art 108.
I just love this glitter so much! It's my favorite from the Mirrorball collection which is surprising considering there's also a blue glitter in the collection. I think this one looks great over anything and is just so festive!
I'm really happy with how this mani came out and can't wait to show you the next one. I'll give you a hint: it's blue! Meanwhile please follow Elsa's Facebook page to see all the entries in this challenge.
