Rimmel Diamond Dust

Hello my lovelies! This is a scheduled post because when you will be reading this I will be away on vacation. I didn't want to leave you without any blog posts so I decided to show you an older manicure that I haven't had time to post. This polish came to me as a gift and I'm so glad because I probably wouldn't have picked it up myself. I'm happy that I got to try it though!

Diamond Dust from the Precious Stones collection from Rimmel is a charcoal glitter with larger holographic silver pieces. The bottle describes it as a high coverage glitter nail polish, but I'm not sure how many coats would be necessary to make it completely opaque. I decided to layer it over one coat of China Glaze Awaken, which is similar in color. I did 2 coats of Diamond Dust to achieve this look.

The glitter dries to a textured finish and you can leave it like that if you are a fan of textured polishes. I actually wore it like that for one day before I added top coat. Most of my pictures are with top coat though, because it brings out the glitter better. Here's how it looks without top coat.

It's a lot sparklier in real life, especially because of the holo glitters. I couldn't quite capture the effect but I gave it a shot with this sun picture.

I'm so glad I got to try this polish! The effect is spectacular on the nails. If you are a fan of glitter, holo and silver you must try this one. You won't be disappointed!
