Monday Blues: Kiko 294

Hello my lovelies! Ready to start another week? I've had a fun weekend and can't say that I'm too happy about Monday, but I love my work so I don't mind that much. As usual I have some awesome blue nails to make your day better and take those Monday Blues away. You all know by now that I'm a big fan of Kiko polishes, especially because of the great formula and the huge variety of colors. Their cremes are the best, so every time I go into a Kiko store I pick up a few. That's how I ended up with this gorgeous blue creme. It was love at first sight!

Shade 294 from Kiko is also called Indigo. I don't really get the name because to me this is the most perfect shade of royal blue. It's a very bright polish and it photographs way brighter than it is, but there isn't enough purple in it to call it an indigo. I had to do a little editing to the pictures so they would show the shade accurately because they were looking way off. The formula was perfect as usual, with two coats being enough to reach opacity. It dried to a shiny finish but I added some top coat to make it dry extra fast.

After doing my first successful stamping decals last week, I couldn't resist doing one for the accent nail of this manicure. I used an image from plate CH14, stamped it with Konad White and colored with Kiko 294 and OPI Don't Mess With OPI for the leaves. The color I used as a base is my trusty Flormar 423. I wore this manicure for the whole weekend and loved it so much. The stamping decal takes a little longer to create and apply but it's totally worth it in my opinion.

The Kiko cremes never disappoint, especially the shades of blue. I can't wait to make an order on the Kiko website to get some more. In case you didn't know, they now deliver to 25 European countries so make sure you check out the list to see if your country is on there. Don't forget to also check out the other Monday Blues posts by clicking the links below!

Have a great week!

  6. Foarte frumos! Astept si mai multe decal-uri, sa vedem ce mai creezi. Mi s-a parut atat de asemanatoare culoarea cu Baker street, dar am cautat si dupe-ul Kiko pt Baker street e cel 336. In orice caz, e minunata culoarea!

What a cute mani!! 294 is a lovely blue. If I had a Kiko nearby, I would probably pick up a few every time too ;0).
