The jelly in question is the amazing China Glaze Ride the Waves from the 2012 Summer Neons collection. This jelly is perfect for glitter sandwiches because it has just the right opacity. I used a different glitter this time and my pictures have also improved from when I did my first sandwich with it.
After 2 coats of Ride the Waves, I did one careful coat of Etude House PBK803 Coco Black and after it dried I added another coat of the jelly and finished with top coat. I'm so happy with how this came out! The glitter has just the right payoff to be layered in one single coat and the fact that it has multiple shapes and colors of glitter makes the sandwich so much more interesting. I even love how the bar glitters look floating around the jelly, even though I'm not a fan of them usually.
This mani has gotten a lot of attention from the girls at work. They couldn't figure out how I did it and several of them asked me if I had gel nails. It's funny cause people don't even know that a jelly is, let alone a jelly sandwich. I patiently explained the process but I'm not sure they understood very well. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure you check out the other blue posts of the day by clicking the links below.
Have a great week!
What a pretty jelly sandwich! I've never really done one of these because I don't believe I own any jelly colors in my collection, lol. I'm so ready for Spring to come too!
ReplyDeleteChiar arata de parca ai avea unghii cu gel :) Vai cat ma distreaza si pe mine cand cineva intreaba cum am creat o manichiura si incep sa povestesc si ei stau si se uita ca la poarta noua.
