TPA Group Challenge: Bling Bling Nails

Hello my lovelies! I know I have been a bad blogger this week and I apologize. I have to start scheduling my posts on Sunday because it seems I can't get anything done during the workweek. The TPA Group Challenge is back today with a very blingy theme. The manicure I'm showing you is a simple one but I think it fits the theme. Last week I did a water marble and I think that will make up for today's more simple look.

As you can see, I created some very basic glitter tips on a nude base. I really don't know what got into me when I did this because it's totally not my style. I just felt like wearing something neutral but had to add glitter because that's how I roll. It can't be too simple or I get bored after less than a day.

I took most of the photos in direct light to show you the holo effect of the glitter. The glitter is called Diamond Glitter and comes from Barry M. It contains different sizes of holographic silver glitter in a clear base. It's perfect for gradients because it builds up nicely with multiple coats. I very much prefer to wear it like this instead of layering it over the whole nail. The polish I used as a base is Flormar 12 from the Plus Quartz line. It's the perfect nude for me because it's light enough and slightly pink toned which matches my pale skin tone.

So what do you think about these nails? I love them because they are the perfect way to wear glitter at work. They are not too over the top but still interesting enough. If you want to see some more bling you should check out what these ladies came up with today:
