China Glaze Feel the Breeze

Hello my lovelies! It's Saturday and that means it's time for some rest & relaxation. It also means that I finally have time to do some blogging. Today I realized that I have a ton of manicures that I haven't shown you, so I really need to get my act together and write some posts. I'm starting with a very summery polish from the 2014 Off Shore collection from China Glaze. I have to admit that this is a color I don't normally wear, but I didn't have anything similar in my collection and I needed something different so it fell into my cart. I wore it with a holographic glitter accent nail just to make it more interesting and more me.

Feel the Breeze is a bright light pink creme. I'm not sure if I should call this a neon, although it's definitely very bright. I guess it's because it's such a warm and light shade that I can't really associate it with the highlighter shades that people usually call neon. The shade was pretty hard to photograph but I'm still happy with how the photos came out. As an accent nail, I used one of my other new polishes from China Glaze, a silver holographic glitter called Glistening Snow. This is actually a winter polish so it's quite funny that people use it together with bright shades like this one. I personally am a fan of silver holo glitter, which makes this my new go to accent nail polish.

The formula for Feel the Breeze is not the best, but I can forgive that because it has such a bright pigment in it and I know how difficult those can be. It only needed 2 coats to be opaque, but there were some streaks left. Nothing that a coat of Seche Vite can't solve. The glitter was also 2 coats. Here are some direct light pictures that show the holo effect better.

I really enjoyed wearing something different for a change and this polish was just what I needed to feel the summer on my nails. People at work actually noticed that I'm not wearing my usual blues and greens. It's nice to change it up a bit every once in a while. What do you think?

  5. Hah! I put out polishes last night to put on today - a pink and Glistening Snow! I like this pink with the holo polish. I may have to rethink the pink I was going to wear! I've been wearing bright for awhile and was wanting more subdued pink but like how you paired them up. Thanks for the wonderful photos!
