Monday Blues: Avon Royal Vendetta

Hello my lovelies! It's Monday, I know. But the fact that it's warm and the sun is shining makes this a great start of the week. For those of you who are on vacation, I envy you a lot! But for those who, like me, have to work this week, let us make the best of the sun and try to be cheerful no matter what. I have some beautiful blue nails to get us all in the right mood today. It's such a great thing when a polish is amazing and you get to write a positive post about it. Here's what I'm talking about.

I don't know about you, but I'm always excited when brands come up with new lines of polish. The Gel Finish line from Avon is fairly new to our country, even though it came out last year in the US. I was very intrigued when I saw these polishes and wanted to order one to try out, but my friend Kinga had already ordered some and was kind enough to lend me this one to try out. Royal Vendetta is a medium blue creme. It photographs a bit brighter than it really is, so a lot of people expected a dupe for Nails Inc Baker Street and were disappointed to see that it was not. Royal Vendetta is a bit more dusty and has less purple, but it's still a nice and bright blue shade. Here's how it looks by itself.

The photo above is without a top coat, so you can see that it's really shiny by itself. The polishes in the Gel Finish line are designed as 7-in-1 nail enamels, which means they have lots of benefits like high shine, a gel-like finish and vivid color. They also don't need any base or top coat, although I wouldn't trust such a bright color to be applied directly on my nails, so I still used a base coat. I loved the way this polish applied and was very impressed with the opacity. I ended up using 2 coats just because of a few bald spots. It dried fast and to a nice and shiny finish. I was also impressed by its durability. I wore this manicure for 4 days and it still looked perfect upon removal. On top of it I stamped an image from plate Suki 07 from MoYou London using Kiko 623.

I must say that I'm very impressed with this polish and I highly recommend this line. I also loved the stamping on top so this was one of my favorite manicures from the last months. I hope you liked it too. Don't forget that you can check out some more Monday Blues by clicking the links below!

Have a great week!
