a-england Tess D'Urbervilles

Hello my lovelies! As you are reading this I am away on a short holiday in Brussels. I didn't want to leave you hanging though, so I scheduled a couple of posts for you. I have a huge backlog of manicures from the last months and I hope I can catch up if I manage to do at least 3 posts a week from now on. This particular set of pictures is from October, so you can imagine how many others I have left. I borrowed this polish from my amazing friend Kinga and tried a little stamping on top as well. Let's take a look!

Tess D'Urbervilles consists of a dark base filled with emerald green flecks. I haven't read the book, but I already feel the mysterious gothic atmosphere when I look at this polish. The shimmer in this polish isn't too in your face but it's nice and subtle, which I like a lot. The sparkles come out to play in direct light and here's how they look in such conditions.

The formula is the regular a-england pigmented and thicker one. I can't remember if I used one or two coats for these pictures but I'm sure that you can get it opaque in just one coat, especially if you have short nails like mine. I also decided to add some stamping on top and chose a vintage pattern from plate Tourist 21 from MoYou London. I actually used two images from this plate because the one on the ring finger almost looks like the mirror image of the one I used on the rest of the nails. I stamped with China Glaze Passion.

Isn't the stamping perfect for this polish? I was in love with this manicure! I'm so glad I got to try this polish! It's elegant and gorgeous and perfect for autumn and winter. I love it!

  1. That's such a nice blacken green polish. The stamping goes perfectly with it. Gold and green is always such a festive combination.
