Monday Blues: Distressed Tribal

Hello my lovelies! It's Monday, it's the first day of June and I don't have to go to work. On top of all that, the weather is absolutely gorgeous. What more can I ask for? I can't wait to go out in the sunshine but first I have a blue manicure to show you. The lovely people from the Born Pretty Store have sent some new plates my way so I had to put them to work immediately. This is the first nail art I created with my new plates.

As you can see, the result is a bit weird but it's totally my fault. My bottle of Konad Black is almost empty and the little polish that is left is extremely thick and dries in a flash. So stamping with it was not easy. The pattern didn't come out that great but I kinda like it. It looks like a distressed tribal print, which is really cool.

I've been obsessed with the ethnic and tribal trends lately so I was extremely happy when I received this stamping plate. It's a big plate with 14 tribal full nail images. Just what I needed! The plate number is BP-L010 and you can find it here. As a base I used two coats of China Glaze Shower Together, a teal creme that is absolutely perfect. Since my nails were really short when I did these, I chose an image with smaller details so they could fit better. I can't wait to use the giraffe and elephant images on the plate once my nails grow a bit.

Please let me know what you think about these nails. And don't forget to use code MFL91 at checkout to get 10% off your Born Pretty order. Meanwhile you can check out the rest of today's Monday Blues in the links below!

Have a great week!
