a-england Crown of Thistles

Hello my lovelies! I am currently on vacation but I scheduled this post so you don't get too bored while I'm gone. The nail polish I'm showing you today comes from a brand that is very close to my heart. a-england makes the most beautiful polishes and they all have a story behind them. I have quite a few of them in my collection, which says a lot because they are not very easy to get hold of where I live. I do manage to get my hands on one of them every once in a while though and I knew Crown of Thistles had to be mine from the first time I saw it. So here it is!

Crown of Thistles comes from the Elizabeth & Mary collection and even though the collection has a blue polish I must admit that this one is the best of them all. It's described as an amethyst shade on the website and it has a scattered holo effect that can sometimes become slightly linear. This effect is, of course, better seen in the sunlight and in direct light, so I took all my pictures under a couple of lamps to show its true beauty.

The formula is the same creamy and opaque awesomeness that is characteristic to all the a-england scattered holos. You can easily make it opaque in one thicker coat but I like to do two thinner ones so it looks and lasts better. It also dries extremely fast but I also added some top coat to make it extra shiny.

Crown of Thistles is a true beauty. If you are a fan of purple or holo polishes, this has to be in your collection. And if not, you should still try the a-england polishes because I'm sure you will fall in love. Have a great weekend!
