Spring Watercolor

Hello my lovelies! The week is finally over and there's a bit of sun to make this Saturday even better. To those of you celebrating Easter this weekend I want to wish a very happy Easter! To me it's just a regular weekend because Romanian Easter is only a month from now, but I still wanted to post something springy so it would go with the season. I think today's manicure is perfect for spring and Easter because it's full of beautiful colors. I was very happy with how it came out even though I struggled a bit with the stamping. Let's take a look!

Those of you that have been reading my blog for a while know that I love spring polishes and I'm a big fan of spring collections, especially the ones from China Glaze. Every year I get at least one polish from said collection, with the Up & Away collection being my absolute favorite of all time. So I decided to use polishes from the China Glaze spring collections from the last years to create a colorful base for this manicure. I love the result!

I started with a base of Let's Chalk about It from this year's House of Colour collection, which you can't really see because it's covered by the other colors. I then took some makeup applicators and sponged the rest of the colors on top: Lemon Fizz and Light as Air (both from the Up & Away collection), Keep Calm, Paint On (from the Avant Garden collection) and Boho Blues (from the Road Trip collection). They all blended nicely, especially with a coat of Seche Vite, and created a sort of watercolor base. Next I stamped an image from plate 07 Labyrinth from Moyra using a white stamping polish from the Born Pretty Store. Let me tell you it wasn't easy because the image wouldn't pick up entirely. I had to repeat the steps about 3 times for each nail before I got a decent pick up. I guess this image isn't etched deep enough on the plate and because of that the polish dries very quickly in it after scraping.

I wore this manicure for a full week and enjoyed it very much. I think in the end the effort was totally worth it for such a great result. I really hope you like this one as much as I did. Have a great weekend!
