Monday Blues: Holo Weave

Hello my lovelies! Today's post is coming a bit later than usual because I've had a busy Monday. The nails I'm showing you this Monday Blues are packed with holo and they are a way to celebrate the sunny weather we've been having for a few days. I created them using a new awesome plate and stamping polish that I was kindly sent from the Born Pretty Store. Let's take a look!

I started with a base of Layla Ocean Rush, one of the prettiest holos I have. It's one of those holos that applies streaky and drags immediately, so I tried using a peel off base coat to make it apply more evenly. It didn't help much with that, unfortunately. I did manage to get it pretty even with two coats though, so next I stamped using an image from plate BP-L027.

I photographed the plate before I removed the blue film because I wanted less reflection so you can see the images better. This gorgeous plate has 6 regular full nail images (1.9x1.5 cm) and 4 bigger square images (2.5x2.5 cm). They all stamp great. I used the bottom right image, and because it's so big, I stamped different parts of it on each nail so they all look different. For the stamping I used Born Pretty Stamping Polish #9, a beautiful shade of light blue that is extremely pigmented and stamps perfectly.

I don't know about you, but I'm in love with this manicure. The only issue was that because I used a peel off base coat it started to chip very early. Or maybe it was the combination between the holo polish and the base coat. Either way, I would have loved to wear it a couple of days longer. Don't forget to check out the rest of today's Monday Blues in the links below!

Have a great week!
