Monday Blues: Colorful Mandala

Hello my lovelies! I'm back! First off, I apologize for the one month long hiatus. Of course there's a very legitimate explanation and it's nothing to worry about. I just moved to another apartment. Between the cleaning, decorating and furniture building I just had no time and no energy to do nail art. Not to mention that my nails got destroyed in the process. In fact, I wanted to post last week but my nails were so short that I had no canvas to work on. They are still very short and my cuticles are a mess, so you will have to forgive me for that as well. My wish to do nail art and blog was too strong for me to wait for another week. So here's the relatively simple manicure I came up with this week.

The manicures I've been wearing in the last weeks have been really simple. Just one polish on all nails, without any nail art. So I was craving something colorful and intricate. Of course I started with my favorite king of base, the stamping marble using different colors. I went with p2 polishes again because they have a great pigmented formula and work well together. The base is Up in the Air! from the Color Victim line. The polishes I marbled on top are all from the Volume Gloss line: 440 Double Agent (red), 190 Midnight Vamp (purple) and 110 Ocean Lady (navy blue).

I then used Mundo de Unas White to stamp and an image from plate BPX-L011 from the Born Pretty Store. The image I used is a larger one with a few mandalas of different sizes. I used different areas from the image on each nail and tried to do a similar arrangement on my other hand. I think I did a pretty good job because my left hand looks like the mirror image of my right one.

I'm really glad to be back, even though my nails have a long way to go until their full recovery. Don't forget to check out the rest of this month's Monday Blues from the other ladies that have been posting religiously in the last weeks!

Have a great week!
