As a base for this manicure, I used a polish that I almost forgot I had. It's one of my oldest Barry M polishes and it's a timeless classic. I'm talking about Barry M Indigo, a gorgeous rich crelly that is perfect for the cold months. I actually envisioned something else when I started doing these nails and the result was a bit different, but I still like it.
For the stamping, I used a snowflake image from stamping plate Celebration BPX--L008 from the Born Pretty Store. I stamped using a-england Excalibur. I initially wanted to create some glitter tips for the stamped nails using OPI Crown Me Already, but it seemed like too much, so I settled for just an accent nail of the glitter. This glitter is really really dense and overpowering, not like others. You really need to wipe the brush if you want to create a thinner layer. In the end I think I should have made it opaque on the accent nail because it would have looked better.
We actually had a tiny bit of snow last week but it didn't last long. We are still waiting for the real thing. I don't think we will be getting it this week though, which makes me sad because I never get snow for my birthday, just rain. At least I have snowflakes on my nails. Don't forget to check out the rest of this month's Monday Blues in the links below!
Have a great week!
