This manicure started from a stamping plate that I was kindly sent by the Born Pretty Store recently. The plate is Spring Garden L003 and is full of gorgeous flowers that can be filled in to create leadlighting or reverse stamping manicures. The designs are just gorgeous, but also simple enough that you don't have to spend ages filling them in. So I decided to give it a try. Of course I was a little rusty, since I haven't done reverse stamping or stamping decals in over two years. I didn't even remember the technique I used properly.
I used the Born Pretty Silicone Stamping Mat and stamped the two flower images a few times both with and without a top coat base, using Mundo de Unas Black. I then filled them in using acrylic paints and a small brush. Finally, I added a coat of top coat and waited for them to dry. I must say that the decals that were made without a top coat base were much thinner and easier to apply than the ones with a top coat base. I wanted a simple and neutral base for this manicure, to make the flowers stand out, so I used Flormar 12 from the Plus Quartz line, which is the perfect nude shade for me but doesn't have great coverage so I ended up using 3 coats for this manicure.
I really enjoyed doing this manicure and remembered how much I like to create nail art. Hopefully I will do more nail art in the future. Don't forget that you can use code MFL91 for 10% off your Born Pretty Store order! Hope you liked this post!
Have a great week!
