Born Pretty Winter Light

Hello my lovelies! Today I'm back with another Born Pretty Store review. The nail polish I'm showing you today is part of a collection of glitter polishes that are also peel off. Since glitter is very hard to take off the nails, I often use a peel off base coat underneath so I don't have to go through the ordeal of regular removal. This polish doesn't require that base, so I was excited to try it out and see how I get along with it.

The shade I chose is called Winter Light and you can find it here. It consists of a jelly base with tiny holographic glitter. Unfortunately this wasn't truly opaque after 3 medium coats, which is too bad because since it's a peel off polish you have to apply it directly on the nail, so you can't use and opaque polish as underwear. My nails were quite long when I wore this, so I still had plenty of visible nail line after 3 coats.

Another issue for me was the durability. They advertise 7 to 14 days of wear with this one, but for me it only lasted for about 2 days. After that I had the polish on one of my nails completely pop off. I then took a shower and lost another one, so I took them all off. I often have this problem with peel off nail polishes, so I'm afraid to wear them because I can lose a nail at any minute. Maybe it's because of my personal nail chemistry, but this one didn't work for me.

Winter Light is a gorgeous shade and is perfect for this season, so it's worth a try if you don't have any issues with peel off polishes. It's also great if you have an event where you only want a sparkly manicure for the night, cause then it's really easy to remove when you are done with it. Hope you enjoyed this post! Stay tuned because I have another one coming to you soon!
